Honda recently unveiled its concept for a mean sports car which is also fuel-efficient. Sorry, the pics of cut-off, but i'm too lazy to fix it. =P

despite its sleek styling and sports car aesthetic, this concept car by honda isn’t another gas-guzzler. the honda FC sport is actually a hydrogen powered three-seater which aims to give the hot rod crowd a more environmentally friendly option. honda integrated their racing technology in this car to prove the viability of hydrogen cars to traditional fossil fuel. this car also features an innovative battery layout, which spread the weight evenly, helping the cars performance and increasing the cabin size. while there is no promise of manufacturing, this concept car is at least pointed in the right direction.

Louis Vuitton’s flagship store at 5th Ave got an amazing make-over for the holidays, the vinyl display of Murakami’s iconic Monogram Multicolore print wraps around the building with neon lights shining through the windows. I’m not exactly sure where Murakami signed but the display is simply amazing! If you’re in New York you should definitely make a trip to see it in person. If not here’s a closer look at the “wrapped up” Louis Vuitton store.

Nike provides all the fresh kids out there who happen to enjoy a lil Wii with a sneaker that is sure to blow anyone's minds. More pics and info after the jump.

The Nike Air Force II High Nintendo Wii features a multi-textured upper containing white/metallic silver elephant, white leather and white mesh. The most interesting feature is the clear plastic panels spotted on the sides of the sneaker. The Nike swoosh is imprinted on the tongue encircled by the Nintendo Wii On/Off button.
This sneaker is set to release in April 2009. What gaming system should be next? Sega Genesis? Super Nintendo?

Jenny Holzer, Chicago Exhibit

Jenny Holzer, prominent and diverse artist, opens at the Chicago Museum of Contemporary Art. More pics and info after the jump.

Jenny Holzer never signs her work. Her most prominent creations, glowing text-based installations fashioned over the last 30 years on everything from billboards and building façades to rock faces and crashing waves, are almost eerie in their anonymity, voices anchored more to their physical and social contexts than to any single, human personality.

Her truisms, deliberate clichés, and borrowed prose touch on subjects as disparate as consumer culture and torture, death, power, and love, and boldly feature on some of the world’s grandest stages - from a giant 1980s Times Square electronic billboard shouting ‘Protect Me From What I Want’, to the LED installation she created at the Reichstag, to poetry projected onto the side of the New York Public Library, and one of her latest projects, a stream of white-lit text scrolling across and illuminating the lobby of 7 World Trade Center in downtown Manhattan.

A new exhibition, opening on Saturday 25th at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago, Jenny Holzer: Protect Protect, examines the artist’s work since the 1990s across a breadth of media including futuristic LED installations, sculpture, light projections, and paintings based on declassified government documents. Even at its most urgent the tone is never aggressive, more a plea than an order. What emerges is a body of work that is at once beautiful, thought provoking, and strangely quiet.

Apple introduced their next generation notebooks earlier today in Cupertino. Although they didn’t implement Blu-Ray or drop a new platform under the $1,000 mark, Apple sure did upgrade some features lacking in the old MacBook. Kicking the old casing to the curb, the MacBook gets an aluminum shell with black glass display and keypad. Other features include: a fully click-able track pad, new Nvidia graphics card, 5 hours of stated battery life and an LED back-lite screen similar to the MacBook Pro. The price does hike up to 2.0GHz/160GB/2MB RAM/Superdrive version for $1299 and 2.4 GHz/250GB for $1599 but the older model now gets dropped down to $999.

Apparently the laser alarm clock idea, where you stop your clock's incessant ringing by shooting a bullseye with a laser gun, was popular enough to warrant a second coming. Bandai will be releasing its new version, titled Gun O' Clock, on November 15th in Japan. Gun O'Clock lacks the little man from the original, but features two wake-up modes: Normal and Hard. Normal mode means you only have to hit the target once to put the clock on snooze. With Hard mode, you'll have to hit it five times. Is that frustrating or secret agent awesome? I can't really tell.

My Dream Car...

The Honda CR-Z (Compact Renaissance Zero) is a gasoline-electric hybrid automobile developed and planned for production by Honda. The CR-Z was first introduced as a concept car by Honda CEO Takeo Fukui on October 23, 2007 at the 2007 Tokyo Auto Show. Fukui further announced that a production model is "in the works" and that the car is intended to be "sporty, incredibly efficient and inexpensive." Aside from the fact that it will use Honda's Integrated Motor Assist system, the specifications of CR-Z's drive train are unknown.

The Silverfish Aquarium designed by Octopus Studios is a gnarly looking setup for your fishy little friends. Each 60 gallon setup is custom made, costs $3,400, and is allegedly self sufficient. I think they're freaking awesome and I want one so bad. So so bad. Almost as bad as I want to live in a human-sized habitrail. Which I would give both my nuts for. It'd have all kinds of funs stuff like rope swings, ball pits, cargo nets and pools. Man that would be so awesome. And by 'man that would be so awesome' I mean I'm stoned to all hell. But it'd still be awesome even if I wasn't, I think. Oh my god I think I just saw Jesus riding a Vespa.
